She's got the job! Woohoo!

Well, my lady has a job! And I'm getting paid for my work! And we are going to be able to rent a house!

Wow. *catching breath* I can't believe it. :o) Stuff going right! Who woulda thunk it?
Well, now to trying to actually furnish the house!

Databases! AAAARGH!

*sigh* I have a database to design. Not just a simple database, either. A complex one with calculations and cross-references between tables, and lookups and all sorts of crap. Sheesh.
It's been too damned long since I had to do this stuff. My brain hurts. But I'll figure it out. I just have to work on it in bits and pieces so as not to give myself a headache.

Anyway, I am, at least, with projects to do. Better than not, I say! For projects mean $ and I may actually MAKE something out of it. Wheee! :o)

As to the rest of life, um. Same stuff, different day. Living, loving, etc.

I'm working on web design - not just our site, as you can see, but for a real-estate and lending firm just about to go big-time. Could be a good opportunity.
Beth tested for a new job with a national shipping firm yesterday, and breezed through most of it. Now they tell her there are ten more tests. Sheesh. I didn't have to test that much working as support at Gateway, Earthlink, Apple, or the state of California! Sheesh!

On the baby front: here is an artist's rendition (um and the artist is me lol) of what our baby could look like based on photos of us. ROFL! I hope to spare the kid that psycho stare from my eyes! lol

The Latest News......

Hello all, Beth here. I'm doing the blog entry today because a.) it's my turn, according to Drake; and b.) This latest news feels like something I should be telling.

Had a somewhat busy day today....went out early this morning to the prenatal clinic for "orientation." For those of you that blinked and weren't sure you saw that last sentence, I said prenatal. As in, clinic for women who are having babies. It seems that despite efforts not to be, Drake and I are pregnant. (Or so he thinks...I still say that since it's me who gets to get all fat and cranky that it's me who's pregnant.)

Baby Steele is scheduled to enter the world squalling in protest somewhere in July of 2005. It's too early to tell whether we'll be typing up the birth announcements in pink or blue just yet, but we're pretty anxious to know. We like surprises and all, but we also like to know whether to shop the thrift stores for little dresses or little overalls. We'll be keeping everyone filled in on that.

In other news: Drake is working on drumming up more web design business (hence the site's makeover), and I am looking for another job. I went for an interview today at the appointment, and I hope I did well. I won't know until Monday. We are also looking into expanding the business and are seeking investment capital.
